How does split tunnelling work.
You choose which websites go through the tunnel and which stay direct. Admin panels, CRMs, or staging sites use route through your dedicated server. News, streaming, and everyday browsing go straight to the internet — sensitive work stays guarded, everything else stays fast.
Split tunnelling with Private DNS.
Imagine your admin panel has no public address. There is no DNS record to look up, so outsiders do not know it exists. With Private DNS, those hidden names resolve only inside your zenVPN tunnel, through your dedicated server. Your team reaches private web resources quietly; everyone else sees nothing.
Split tunnelling vs classic VPN.
Classic VPN is all-or-nothing: sends all traffic through the tunnel, slowing things down and merging everyone under one IP. Split tunnelling is selective — only chosen websites use your dedicated company IP, while regular traffic moves freely.
Devices and apps.
It is required to use zenVPN client for split tunnelling: only the sites you choose go through your dedicated servers; everything else stays direct. Third-party VPN tools may connect in full-tunnel mode, but website-based split tunnelling is available only in the zenVPN client.
